Banana Baby Puree
Ripe bananas blended smooth with a splash of water, breast milk or formula. No cooking and no added sugar.
Recipe in testing: I'm cooking it in my TM7™ and will update the steps and the photo with my own.

Ripe bananas are sweet, soft and ready in seconds, which makes them one of the simplest first foods you can offer. Choose bananas with a few brown spots on the peel: they are the sweetest and blend the smoothest. Nothing else goes in, no salt, sugar or honey, only a little water, breast milk or formula to loosen it.
In the Thermomix® TM7™, two short blends with a scrape in between turn the bananas into a silky puree with no lumps. Banana darkens as it sits, so make it close to mealtime. It is also a sweet, easy way to soften other purees later on, once your baby has tried each food on its own.

Ingredients
Instructions
- Peel the bananas, break them into pieces and place them in the mixing bowl.
- Add 30 g (2 tbsp) of the liquid and blend 15 sec/speed 5.
- Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl with the spatula and blend 10 sec/speed 6, until smooth. Add more liquid, 1 tbsp at a time, if you want it thinner.
- Serve a small portion in a bowl right away, since banana darkens as it sits.
Tips
- Ask your pediatrician before starting solids and about the right texture for your baby's age. First purees are usually very smooth; for an older baby, simply mash a piece of banana with a fork.
- Keep leftovers covered in the fridge up to 1 day. It turns a little brown, which is normal. To freeze, blend with water (not milk or formula), freeze in an ice cube tray and use within 2 months.
- Once your baby has tried each food on its own, banana puree is lovely stirred into oatmeal baby cereal, avocado mash or blueberry puree.
- Serve from a small bowl, not from the storage container, and throw away what your baby does not finish.
