The woman who only made rice
Hi, I'm Wanda Oyola, and I have a confession: before my Thermomix® TM7™, I didn't cook. My kitchen had one star, the rice cooker. We had a deal: I added rice and water, pressed the button, and it handled the rest. My entire recipe collection fit on a sticky note: "rice, water, button."
What's for dinner? Rice. With what? Whatever was in the fridge. Or whatever the delivery app brought.
Then the TM7™ arrived. I set it on the counter and stared at it, and it stared back with its big screen. I thought: this is way too much machine for a woman whose signature dish is white rice. But the screen walked me through it step by step, and for the first time in my life, I actually followed a recipe.
That night I made a real dinner, and my kitchen smelled like a real kitchen. I sat down at the table and almost cried. It wasn't the onions.
The rice cooker took it well. It lives in the pantry now, retired with honors. And my kitchen has something it never had before: people. Friends who come over to taste, and a cook who isn't scared of the stove anymore.
That's why I share my recipes and do demos. If the woman who only made rice learned to cook, so can you. Come to my table, and I'll bring the food. (And the rice, for old times' sake.)
I'm a Thermomix® Independent Consultant.
